Everyone has their own preferred way of keeping warm at home. You could opt for a hot water bottle to snuggle up with on the sofa. Alternatively, you may head up to bed and put on your electric blanket to keep you toasty warm all night. What many don’t realise is that central heating could actually be the more cost-effective solution. Whereas an electric blanket turned on all night can be quite costly, central heating will save you money in the long term.

As you probably know already though, there aren’t many homes in Britain today that haven’t switched to central heating. You probably wont be surprised to learn though that many people don’t turn the heating on because they know it costs so much at present to run. Some people would rather freeze than have to turn on the central heating, and this could be due to the lost faith in the UK’s most well-known heating company. Its not fair that homeowners are resorting to using their hot water bottles because they feel their central heating is too expensive.

Although it is recommended that you allow central heating to replace the need for a hot water bottle, there is still one really great use for a hot water bottle all year round. If one member of your family suffers with period pain, the humble hot water bottle can come in very useful. It is fair to say that many homeowners are finally realising that there is an alternative central heating company out there, and this means you can keep everyone happy, with using the hot water bottle to soothe the stomach and the central heating can warm the rest of the home.

Keeping warm is so important, not just in winter, but all year round, so make that energy supplier switch and you can feel the benefits. Don’t rely on a hot water bottle for full home warmth – it won’t keep everyone warm!Everyone can feel warm when you have appropriate central heating installed and it will make a massive difference to the cosiness of your home. It is easy to end up feeling demoralised by your current energy supplier, but you can make that change. By doing this, you can make sure that the hot water bottle is reserved only for those who have pain and the home stays nice and warm all year round.
