Their diameter ranges from 4 up to 12 mm. This is related to the percentage of different components of raw materials. The length is from 1 cm to 4 cm. This also depends on the technological features of the production line. The color of pellets varies from light yellow to dark brown. Lighter pellets are considered to be more efficient. The dark color is given by cortex. Sometimes wood pellets have a grayish hue color. This does not mean lower quality. The reason for this hue is a slight difference in temperature in the furnace during forming pellets. From my point of view it doesn’t matter what color your wood pellets are. The main thing is that they must provide you with warmth when you are at home. I don’t care about the color. I just want to be heated up properly and nothing else.
