How To Transform a Plain Room into a Beautiful Nursery For Your Baby

Decorating and designing a nursery for a baby has turned into a much {bigger|larger] production than it ever used to be. With the age becoming older for parents to be having babies, they also have more financial stability and therefore have greater resources to put into the room for their precious baby. This has been highlighted quite a bit in recent years showing the elaborate nurseries complete with an exquisite Chandelier that celebrities are having done for their offspring. There are also special shows on cable that feature people designing babies nurseries for couples. The current trend is actually quite a good one with parents wanting to create a space that will grow with the baby and can be used for many years from the colors, to the furniture and even the Quoizel lighting.

The traditional nursery paint colors of baby blue, soft pink and light yellow are not the colors that people are selecting to paint for their child’s nursery. Many parents are making the nursery be a continuation of the rest of the house with the color scheme as well. Creamy colors like cream and gold or the favorite combination of blue and chocolate have been popular choices for nurseries lately. A lot of expectant parents find out the sex of the baby and then design around that but if you don’t know or want it to be gender neutral, then using soothing greens, beiges and creams are a good choice.

If you are unsure of what colors to use to decorate the baby’s room, then look for the fabric and the bedding for the crib first and that may determine the inspiration for the room. Having a juvenile theme is no longer in and is thought to be outdated and maybe even tacky. If you wish to incorporate animals for example, it is now done in a more muted and sophisticated manner using “real” artwork, for example. Bedding for a nursery can be found in every price range and does not have to be expensive. If you are good at sewing or know a reasonable seamstress, perhaps you can make it yourself using beautiful fabrics.

The other thing that baby furniture makers now do is making pieces that may be used for a baby and then be used differently as they get older. For example, a crib now may be changed into a full size headboard and footboard when the baby moves into a big bed. Also, a changing table can remove the pad and have it just be a nice looking dresser for many more years of use.

The finishing touches in a baby’s room are what complete the look and that would include the rug, the artwork, and the lights. Having a nice plush, neutral area rug that will mature with the baby is a great idea in addition to lighting that you would also choose to have in a bedroom for an adult. Baby girl’s roomsare being transformed into beautiful rooms complete with ornate cribs and crystal chandelier lights.
